MIDWEST ACTIVE KATY 80 (5/31/14)

Midwest Active Katy80On Saturday, May 31, 2014 teams of 6 runners will compete in a 80 mile relay on the Katy Trail from the Black Walnut Trailhead to the finish line at the Augusta Brewery. With race categories for everyone, the Katy 80 will be an unforgettable experience for your team. You will run through some of Missouri's most beautiful countryside. The finish line is in the charming town of Augusta, MO. The Augusta Brewery will host the post race party with food and craft beer for all participants.

Participants can pick-up their race packets on...
- Friday, May 30th from 3:00-8:00pm at FLEET FEET - St. Charles
- Saturday, May 31st beginning at 5:30am at Black Walnut Trailhead

Awards
Awards will be presented to 6 Person Team Awards for 1st place in the following categories: 
Male, Female, and Coed Open teams
Male, Female, and Coed Masters teams (combined age of 240 years or more)
1st Responders teams (minimum of 3 first responders on the team)
Awards will also be given to 3 Person Ultra Teams (1st place in 3 categories): All Male, All Female and Coed.

More Information
An "Ultra" division for tough endurance runners has been created. Teams of 3 runners can test their meddle by signing up for the Katy 80. 

A fun and challenging part of the Katy 80 will be how strategically each team deploys its runners along the trail route. Your team will be allowed 2 vehicles to make pick up and drop off points along the 80 mile stretch.

Event Shirts for everyone, Post Race Party at the Augusta Brewery with food and craft beer, Gu Nutrition Product, Thorlo Running Sock prizes, and coupons from businesses along the Katy Trail.
