The River City Racers Swim Conference will be hosting an inaugural kids triathlon in Warson Woods. 


  • Date | Sunday, June 26th, 2016
  • Start Time | 8AM Race is rain or shine, unless conditions are dangerous. In case of inclement weather, the race may be delayed, altered or cancelled. We need to ensure the safety of the racers and the final call will be made by the race director. 
  • Location | Warson Woods Swimming Pool- 900 Warson Woods Drive, St. Louis, MO 63122
  • Distances
    • 6-10 year olds | 100 yard swim, 1.1 mile bike & 0.4 mile run
    • 11-15 year olds | 200 yard swim, 2.2 mile bike & 0.9 mile run
  • Swag

  • Registration Fees
    • $25 | until 6/9 | Guarantees participants an official race t-shirt and completion medal on race day
    • $25 | 6/10-6/22 | Final day of electronic registration. Participants will get a participation medal. Expect official race t-shirt delivery several weeks after the race.
    • $25 | 6/23-race day | No medal or t-shirt on race day. 
    • In case of inclement weather, the race may be delayed, altered or cancelled. We need to ensure the safety of the racers and the final call will be made by the race director. If cancelled, there will be no refunds. All fees collected are used to develop and produce the event, including t-shirt, race supplies, staffing and administration.

  • Parking | If you can walk to the event, please do so that we can free up parking for the non-Warson Woods participants. Parking is available on Andrew Drive, Dearborn Drive, Forest View Drive or in the parking lot directly behind King Doh Chinese Restaurant. Please avoid parking in the Warson Woods Pool Parking lot or on Renderer Drive & Warson Woods Drive.
  • Course | Map
    • Swim: The swim will take place in the Warson Woods pool. It will be "serpentine" style with the older and fastest swimmers starting first. Athletes will be seeded in order of their expected swim finish. There will be a 10 second gap between each swimmer, and potentially a 5 minute break in between age groups.
    • Bike: The bike course is a loop within the neighborhood just North of Warson Woods Swim Club. From the pool area, cyclists will ride up Renderer, across Rampart and down Bennett. 1 loop for the younger age group and 2 laps for the older group. 
    • Run: The run is also be entirely within Warson Woods and children can be seen throughout their run along Warson Woods Drive. Ages 6-10: Out and back run from the transition area to Forest View Drive. There will be a water station at the turn around. Ages 11+: Out and back from the transition area to North Drive.
    • Water StationWater station is at Forest View Drive.
    • Safety: The pool will have a lifeguard. Participants need to be able to safely complete the race distances. Non-swimmers will not be permitted to participate. No personal flotation devices may be used. Training wheels, tricycles or scoters will not be permitted. All participants must wear a CPSC approved helmet while on bikes. Bicycle safety inspections are recommended, but not required prior to the morning of the event. The bike course will have volunteer course marshals stationed throughout the course. Parents of 6-10 year old participants may join their kids on the biking & running legs of the race.
  • Awards | Participantion medal to all who complete the course.
