St. Louis Science Center's Run for the Stars 5K/10K

On Saturday, May 22, the Young Friends of the Saint Louis Science Center will kick off the 12th annual Run for the Stars. The run benefits the Science Center's many educational programs, including YES: Youth Exploring Science, a program that works with 250 underserved teens in the St. Louis area throughout their high school careers.
The Run for the Stars offers a little something for all levels of participants — individuals, children, families and groups included. Choose from a 5K wheelchair race, a 5K run/walk, a 10K run and a 1/2 mile Kids Run. The day of the race, activities for kids will include inflatables, science experiments and access to the Science Center. And this year, you can train for the run with FLEET FEET’s No Boundaries program!
The 5K wheelchair race kicks off at 7:50 a.m., followed by the 5K run/walk and the 10K run at 8 a.m., then the 1/2 mile Kids Run at 9:30 a.m. All races begin at the Planetarium. Awards will go to overall winners in each category as well as the top three finishers in all age groups.
Packet pick-up will take place inside the Planetarium on Thursday, May 20, from 3-7 p.m.; Friday, May 21, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.; and starting at 7 a.m. on race day.
