The Kansas-Missouri Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (KS-MO IDA) is proud to present our third annual Dyslexia Dash 5K. Dyslexia affects 1 in 5 people worldwide. Children with dyslexia need specific instruction to learn to read, which is not currently happening in their schools. KS-MO IDA is focused on providing teacher training scholarships and Learning Ally accounts (Audiobooks) for students. Our theme this year is “Moving Mountains” because IDA is passionate about bringing awareness to dyslexia and moving mountains for students and teachers. Individuals with dyslexia move many mountains to do amazing things. Our Dyslexia Dash 5K has been so successful and enjoyable that people come back every year to join us. Last year between Kansas and Missouri our dashes raised over $15,000. Our teacher scholarships and Learning Ally accounts are fully funded by monies raised at the dash. We have an incredibly strong community and welcome all to attend.
