Runnababez Update (8/6/13)

The FLEET FEET-sponsored Runnababez racing team finished 2nd at the St. Louis Track Club's Cross Country Kickoff.  That's not too shabby considering that half the ladies are in heavy training for fall races and they were missing a key competitor, Jackie Pirtle-Hall, who recently become Mama to to Runnababy Gwyneth.  The SLTC's cross country race attracts many of the area's top high school, collegiate, and post-collegiate racers and the Runnababez were proud to have placed all five of their team members in the top 20.

 

A little less than twenty-four hours later, Lisa Cary doubled back and won the FLEET FEET Runner's Club's FLAT FIVE five mile race in St. Charles in a time of 30:27.  (FLEET FEET Fit Pro, social run coordinator, and racing team member Andy Koziatek won the men's race in 27:36.) 

Look for the Runnababez  team in their "FUN. FAST. FABULOUS" tops at September 7th's Unigroup 5k/10k in Fenton.  With much of the race along the Meramec River, it's flat, fast, and has a great flow to it.  (See what I did there?)  The registration deadline to be guaranteed a shirt us approaching fast, so sign up now.  Also, for you FLEET FEET Racing Team members, this a great opportunity to get add a fast 10k to your rankings.
