FLEET FEET Sports to Celebrate its 20^th Anniversary
by Opening a Fourth Location

New Des Peres location will include a Training Center and Retail Store

ST. CHARLES, MISSOURI, MARCH 4^th, 2013 – Twenty years after opening their first FLEET FEET Sports store, owners David and Debby Spetnagel are proudly announcing the upcoming opening of their fourth location.  On or about April 12^th, 2013, FLEET FEET Des Peres will join their stores in Chesterfield, Fenton and St. Charles in serving the runners and walkers of the St. Louis area.

In addition to being a fourth retail location, FLEET FEET Des Peres will serve as home of the FLEET FEET Training Center.  Since 2006, FLEET FEET’s training groups have helped thousands of St. Louisans improve their health by introducing them to walking or running and assisted thousands more in achieving their racing goals.  Training Director Brandi Barbre reports, “The opening of the FLEET FEET Training Center will allow us to offer specialty classes to members of our training programs and others who are looking to supplement their running and walking regimens with workouts specifically designed for the endurance athlete.  FLEET FEET Des Peres will also host state-of-the-art fitness assessments, seminars, ‘Doctor On Call’ events, and various other educational and community gatherings.”

Des Peres was chosen, in general, because of its centralized location.  “The Training Center is intended not just for those who shop at FLEET FEET Des Peres,” explains David.  “It was critical that the Training Center’s location be convenient and recognizable.  No spot in St. Louis better meets that definition than the I-270/Manchester intersection.“  Des Peres Commons, in particular, was chosen because of its community feel and collection of health-oriented tenants.  “It was a good fit,” says David, “and we know all about a good fit!”   

FLEET FEET Des Peres will be located at 11731 Manchester Road, Des Peres, Missouri, 63131.  The Des Peres Commons strip mall is located on Manchester Road one mile east of I-270.  Two of the most visible tenants are Terra and The Daily Bread.  All FLEET FEET stores and divisions can be reached at 855-LUV-2-RUN.
